What a wonderfully tea-centric weekend Chris and I enjoyed at the World Tea Expo in sunny Las Vegas, Nevada last month. It was a great experience attending the World Tea Expo not only because of the new things we saw and learned, but also because of the opportunity it presented us with to catch up with old friends. It is this once a year event that allows us all to re-connect and chat about the latest happenings with each other’s tea businesses.
At the World Tea Expo all the different segments of the tea industry came together including retailers, wholesalers, manufacturers, suppliers, etc. Everyone there was dressed to ‘tea’ impress and show-cased their complete service and product portfolios. The electricity and energy throughout the weekend was both exciting and contagious. It was great walking through the hall and checking out the exhibitors, attending the classes, and visiting with folks inside the main convention hall. We thoroughly enjoyed tasting garden fresh tea from India, China and even Hawaii. Additionally we familiarized ourselves with new tea growers and new tea drinking accessories that make the whole tea drinking experience that much more enjoyable. Finally we discovered some new artisan tea cookies which we will now be carrying and offering on our website. Go to our site at http://www.freedomteas.com/cookies.html to find out more! These delectable shortbread cookies are flavored with a variety of different herbs and spices. We hope you try them and we’re sure you’ll enjoy them as much as we do.
If your company's concept was only thought of a year ago, then how are you "catching up with old friends" and "re-connecting"?

Friendship and re-connecting are not necessarily tied to a business concept...something to think about.
